Position: Sourcing Analyst

Reporting to: Sourcing Consultant

Base Location: Home based (Travel as required)

Contract: Full time, permanent

Main responsibilities

Supporting Horizon Seven in delivering world-class sourcing projects to our clients in your role as Sourcing Analyst.

Within your Sourcing Analyst role your key responsibilities will often require you to take responsibility for looking after the clients needs, for example running supplier workshops, developing materials, evaluating bids etc.

This multi-faceted role requires you to be agile, detailed and organised.

You will be central to successful project delivery and will be tasked with creating a strong foundation to each project, delivering governance, accuracy and clarity that is fundamental.

Sourcing Analyst Focus

Support our consultants and leadership team in delivering sourcing projects, often using Agile Sourcing methodologies which Horizon Seven have designed and trademarked

Your Project delivery responsibilities span various milestones and includes conducting market research, liaising with clients and suppliers alike, assisting in supplier workshops, collating evaluations and contributing to project deliverables such as findings report, final recommendation packs and board papers.

Contribute to service and product development initiatives aligned with your expertise.

Participate in internal projects and help foster our collaborative culture.

Governance and Project Support

• Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with agreed standards.
• Develop and manage project plans, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Track milestones, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues where necessary.
• Support resource allocation, financial tracking, and project documentation.
• Facilitate project meetings and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Experience in the technology industry buyer or supplier side, with practical knowledge of the sourcing lifecycle.
• Understanding of contracting, pricing, and commercial models.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
• Clear and confident communicator across multiple channels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility and adaptability.
• Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft PowerPoint (creative flare appreciated) and Excel
• Curious, passionate, and collaborative approach to work.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with current and emerging technologies.
• Experience with full RFP lifecycle design and execution.
• Background in contract management (buyer side) or account management (supplier side).
• Previous experience in SMEs or start-ups.
• Programme management and transition management exposure.
• Benchmarking process experience.
• Knowledge of PMO frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP)
