SOURCING CONSULTANT
We currently have an brilliant opportunity for a Sourcing Consultant to join the Horizon Seven team!
We are looking for an experienced and detailed and individual to lead the delivery of projects as well as form part of the delivery team.
The role requires a deep understanding of the technology industry with an understanding of emerging new technologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are also key.
Position: Sourcing Consultant
Reporting to: CEO
Base Location: Home based (Travel as Required)
Main Responsibilities
Supporting our CEO and other consultants in delivering world-class sourcing projects to our buy and sell side clients by playing your part in delivery of our projects (subject to your field of expertise and experience).
You will lead the delivery of your own projects or form part of a team (as required) and take responsibility for looking after your clients needs.
You will have a part to play in business development, meeting potential clients, creating proposals, delivering sales presentations and preparing contracts as well as developing opportunities with existing clients. With an objective to drive some of your own new client opportunities.
All our consultants have the opportunity to participate in service and product development based on your areas of interest and expertise.
You will form a big part of building our business and continuing to perpetuate our culture internally and externally.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Deep experience of working in the technology industry as a buyer or supplier of services with practical experience of all stages of the sourcing lifecycle.
- Extensive commercial experience, with a good understanding of contracting, pricing and commercial models.
- Confident negotiator able to handle difficult conversations and drive positive results.
- Excellent stakeholder skills and adept at collaboration.
- Articulate, a clear communicator able to lead and engage with clients and suppliers across all channels
- Engergised and results focused
- Adaptable and flexible can handle multiple priorities
- Excellent IT skills especially in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience of bid management
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Understanding of current and emerging technologies
- Experience of the full RFP lifecycle and design
- Experience of contract management buyer side, or account management supplier side
- Previous experience in a small/medium enterprise or startup
- Programme management and transition management experience
- Benchmarking process experience
